Day 40: Bricks & Sauerbraten
I find myself 40 Days into this pandemic and time is flying by.40 days ago (Day 0) a friend commented on my very first pandemic blogpost. He lives in China and was already deep into quarantine. He offered some advice and then recommended that I order a "Massive Lego Set" to help pass the time.
The word "massive" is a little intimidating when it comes to Lego because there are only a few truly "massive" sets and they come with quite the price tag. But I decided to order a fairly large set to keep myself busy. I had my eye on a set called "Chinese New Year Temple Fair" and suddenly I had the perfect excuse to buy it.
The set was on backorder, but it finally arrived last weekend. I chose this set for a variety of reasons. First, I love its featured Asian architecture, it is gorgeous. Also, this year is the year of the Rat. I was born on the year of the rat and this is the third year of Rat in my lifetime.Of course I am not the only one working on projects. My brother, Adam, decided to cook a German dish called Sauerbraten. He marinated the meat for a couple weeks in his fridge and then cooked it up and served it with Spaetzle. My mother then made a German Chocolate Cake to complete the meal.
That's all for now.
Prost!
